# How to contact a freelancer?

For security reasons, we encourage you to use our platform and contact forms when contacting freelancers instead of providing them with direct contact information such as email and phone number. 

**To contact a freelancer who sent you an offer,** go to *Dashboard → Jobs.* You'll their offer. Click the "Message" button.

**Similarly, if you want to contact a freelancer who wants to make a deal with you** go to *Dashboard → Deals → Chosen deal.* At the bottom of the page, you'll find the *Write to the freelancer* button, which will redirect you to the contact form.

**Both of these actions can also be done for your personal inbox.** Just go to the ***Messages*** tab and select the name of the freelancer you want to contact. 

If you want to get in touch with a freelancer and send him or her [a private job invitation,](https://help.useme.eu/hc/en-us/articles/360022959752-How-to-send-a-private-job-invitation-)go to their profile and click the ***Send job invitation*** button. 

### Message archive

You can move conversations you no longer need to the archive:

1. Go to [*Messages*](https://useme.com/en/mesg/).
2. Open the conversation.
3. Click "Move thread to archive."

If you change your mind and want to move a thread back to your inbox:

1. Go to [*Message archive*](https://useme.com/en/archive) (the drawer icon to the right of the *Messages* header).
2. Open the conversation.
3. Click "Restore thread from archive."
