What do you need to set up an account on Useme?
We facilitate your transactions with clients by entering into a contract with you. That’s why we need your personal or company details. If you don’t represent or have a company, you’ll need to enter your:
- full name,
- tax identification number,
- address,
- date of birth,
- phone number (optional).
If you do represent or have a company, you’ll need to enter your company:
- name,
- address,
- tax identification number or EU VAT number.
Make sure you provide accurate information to streamline your account verification.
Why we ask for your data
When you settle a deal with your client through Useme, we are in the middle of this transaction. That means we enter into a contract with you and then invoice your client. Everything happens online and complies with your local regulations, no matter what country your client lives in.
Your data is completely safe. We don’t disclose your data to third parties or process it for other purposes. We process your data according to the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016. You can learn more about how we process your data in our Privacy policy.
Create an account step by step
Follow this instruction to create and active your Useme account:
- Click “Log in” in the top right corner of the page, then select “Create account” at the bottom.
- Enter your email address and password. Read our Terms and conditions and Privacy policy, and accept them.
- Check your email. We’ll send you an activation link. Click the link to confirm your email address and return to the login page.
- Click “Join as freelancer”.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete your account details. We need this information to process your transactions with clients.
- After saving your information, we’ll verify it. You’ll see a message on the screen saying that verification is in progress, but you can already start:
- issuing invoices (see how to do this);
- applying for jobs (up to 5) on Useme Jobs (see how to do this).
7. Now, add relevant job categories and skills to your profile. We can send you email
notifications for new job listings that match your categories.
That’s it! We’ll email you once we verify your account, and you’ll have unlimited access to transactions on your Useme account. We verify accounts on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (UTC+2).
