Learn how Useme handles late payments and how you can secure your earnings before starting work.
Extended payment deadline
If the client doesn’t pay the deposit request within the deadline, your deal will be closed automatically. However, if the client pays within 30 days, the deal will automatically reopen, and you’ll get your payment.
If the client wants to pay later than 30 days, they have to contact us via the contact form and provide a new, reasonable payment date.
How to secure your payment on Useme
When you settle a deal through Useme, we create an online agreement with you to invoice your client. However, this agreement is only valid once your client pays for your work.
If you were chosen for a job on Useme Jobs, don’t start working until we email you that the client has paid the deposit request. Only then is your payment safely secured with Useme.
If you send your work files outside Useme and the client doesn’t pay, we can’t help recover your payment. We’re not part of the agreement before payment. If you have proof – such as emails confirming the job and payment terms – you can pursue a civil claim. We can provide all available documents and confirmations from Useme related to the deal.
