It requires a password and a code sent to your email or generated by an app on your phone. 2FA helps protect your account even if someone steals your password. Go to *Settings → General.* 2. Find the two-factor authentication (2FA) section. 3. Click “Turn on” to start the process. 4. Select an authentication method: 2FA app or email. - Setting up 2FA via email: You will receive a 6-digit activation code via email. Enter it in the designated field and click “Continue.” - Setting up 2FA via app: 1. Download a two-factor authentication (2FA) app from Google Play or the App Store. 2. Open your 2FA app, scan the QR code on the screen, or enter the 32-digit key manually. 3. The app will generate a 6-digit verification code. Enter it in the designated field and click “Continue.” #### How to use 2FA for logging in 1. [Log in](https://useme.com/en/dashboard/) to your account. 2. Enter the verification code: - If you set up 2FA via email, the code will be sent to your email address. - If you set up 2FA via the app, open the app to find your code.    3.   Enter the 6-digit code in the designated field and click “Verify.” #### What if something goes wrong? - **You haven’t received an email with the code** Check your spam folder. If the email is still missing, click “Send again.” This option refreshes every 60 seconds. If you are still waiting for an email, [contact us](https://useme.com/en/contact/#contact-form) (enter the email you log in to Useme with). - **The screen says your code is incorrect** Make sure you enter the right 6-digit code. If the code still doesn't work, try again or [contact us](https://useme.com/en/contact/#contact-form).
