Deal statuses explained

Each deal on Useme has a status. It shows what stage your deal is currently at. Below are the names and descriptions of these statuses.

How to check your deal status

Deal statuses – Invoice a client

Status name

When it shows

Waiting for deposit

after you fill out the form and the deal is waiting for our verification

after we verify your contract, send the deposit request to the client, and wait for the client to pay

Closed

after your client has paid a deposit request

Closed by administration

after we spot errors in the deal and have to close it – we’ll email you the details about what’s wrong or missing

Deal statuses  –  a job from Useme Jobs

Ongoing

after you add an offer for a job on Useme Jobs, the client accepts it, and the deal is waiting for our verification

after we verify the deal and wait for the client to pay the deposit request

after the client pays, and you have time to complete the job

after you upload work files, and they’re waiting for the client’s acceptance

Closed

after the client accepts the work files, and we will soon send you the payment

Disputed

after the client rejects the work files – contact them to arrange the necessary corrections

Severed by employer

after the client misses the deadline for paying the deposit request

Severed by freelancer

after you miss the deadline for uploading work files – contact the client to ask if you can take more time to submit the work

Closed by administration

after we spot errors in the deal and have to close it – we’ll email you the details about what’s wrong or missing

How to check your deal status

After logging in to Useme, you’ll see your deal in the Dashboard or Deals section (current deals are in the Dashboard section, and after a week from payment, they move to Deals). Go there to check the deal status – you’ll see it next to the deal name.
