When will I get paid?

We send you a payout for each contract. You don’t need to accumulate a certain amount to receive your money.

What do you need to do to receive your payout?

We strive to send your payout within 24 hours. To make sure you get it as soon as possible, check if you:

  • Uploaded the file into our system.
  • Your work was accepted by the client.
  • You put a bank account number in your profile.

What payout method to choose?

At Useme, we will transfer your salary to your specified account as soon as the contract ends. You can choose a traditional bank account or another withdrawal channel.

To choose a withdrawal method, go to Account Settings → Payouts and select the currency that you want to set the way for.

Payments to a bank account

If your bank account is in European Union, we need your account number in IBAN format. It's the two letters usually proceeding with the account number.

In other cases, fill in the BIC/SWIFT number. You can find it on the bank's website.

You can set a different type of payout method for EUR or GBP.

If you wish to receive remuneration in USD, please add a bank account registered in the USA or a WISE account. Otherwise, the compensation will be converted to the currency of the country where the bank account is registered.

The transfer will post to your account according to your bank's incoming transfer posting session schedule.

When will you get the payout?

We need the client’s acceptance of your work to send your payout.

When you add the files to Useme, we inform the client and send the link to confirm receiving them. The client has 7 days to accept the work. If they don’t take or ask you for corrections within 7 days, the work will get automatically accepted, and you will get the payout.

We send you the money within 24 hours on working days from the deal’s closure. Please remember that your bank might take longer to process the payment.

If you have any questions about payouts, don’t hesitate to contact us here.

What account number should you put in your profile?

We need your account number in IBAN format and BIC/SWIFT code. You can find those on your bank’s website.

What does the payout transfer look like for freelancers with their own businesses?

If you have a company and your freelancer profile in Useme is set as company one, you will need to upload a bill or an invoice to the deal. We will remind you to do this in a separate email. You can upload the invoice with a link in this email or the Deals tab in your account.

How to upload a bill or an invoice to the deal?

You can do it in two ways:

1. Email. Click the link in the email (if we need your bill or an invoice, we'll send you an email with the link to upload the document.)

2. Useme profile. Go to Dashboard → Deals → Open deals. Choose the deal and go to Documents. Click Add an invoice to upload a document. After clicking Add an invoice, you’ll also see Useme’s invoicing details, which you need to include on your bill or invoice.

If the document you uploaded doesn’t fit, we’ll reject it and let you upload a new, correct document.

How long will it take to get your payout?

We strive to send the payouts within 24 hours after the deal’s closure. We send them at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. CET on working days.

PayPal – troubleshooting

Here’s what to do if Useme has sent payment to your PayPal account, but the money is on hold/inaccessible.

Unfortunately, Useme has no control over your access to the money on your PayPal account. The reason why it’s not available may be related to PayPal’s internal security practices.

We’ll try to help you get access to your money faster. Here’s what you can do:

  • Contact us via contact form and describe your case so we can verify your transfer thoroughly. It may be possible for the Useme admin to confirm your work in PayPal and unlock the money faster. However, it’s entirely up to PayPal.
  • Download the Confirmation of the contract from your Useme account (Dashboard → Deals → the deal in question → Documents → Confirmation) or email us to send you the Confirmation. Send the document to PayPal to prove that the contract has been concluded and executed in accordance with the client’s order.
  • Return the PayPal transfer to Useme so we can use another payment gateway. Remember that this transfer will include a service fee deducted from your payment.
