You can invoice your clients on Useme. Before that, they receive a deposit request (deposit invoice) with job details and payment info. Here’s how to update both documents.

How to change details on a deposit invoice
If your client hasn't paid yet (we'll email you when they do), we can change the deposit request content:
- client details: name, company name, address
- job details: name, description, deadline
- price details: amount, currency, payment deadline
- copyright setting.
Tell us what needs to be updated – use the contact form.
Clients can update their company name and address themselves. They just need to log in to Useme with the email they use for invoices and follow the instructions (send them the link).
After updating, the deposit request won’t change, but the final invoice will include the new details.
How to change details on a final invoice
If your client has paid the deposit request, we have already issued them a final invoice. This means you can then only change details using a corrective note or invoice.
Corrective note: The client issues it and sends it to us – ideally in reply to the email with the invoice or to info@useme.com. The corrective note allows us to change:
- client's name,
- job name,
- sale date.
Corrective invoice: Useme issues it at the client's request (ideally in reply to the email with the invoice). The corrective invoice allows us to reduce the invoice amount.
How to change the price on a deposit request
If you and your client want to change the price after receiving the deposit request, either of you can contact us through the contact form. We’ll then ask the other party if they agree. If they do, we’ll send both of you a new deposit request with the updated price.
How to change the price on a final invoice
When a client pays a deposit request, the final invoice is generated automatically. It will show the amount from the deposit request. To change the amount on the final invoice, contact us through the contact form and we’ll issue a corrective invoice.
If you’re not sure what amount to enter in the Invoice a client form, use our calculator.
How to extend the payment deadline for a client
If the payment deadline on the deposit request has passed, but the client pays within 30 days, you don't need to do anything. The deal will reopen automatically and you will receive your payment.
If the client wants to pay later than 30 days, they must first contact us through the contact form and provide a new, feasible payment deadline.
Changing the client's email address
If your client has made a transaction on Useme before, their email address and invoice details are in our database. If your client is in our database, but their email address has changed:
- For clients without a Useme account: send us their old and new email addresses through the contact form – we'll check if we can change them.
- For clients with a Useme account: suggest they contact us through the contact form and request a change of email address.
