How to change the client’s email address

If your client has a Useme account, we can only send the invoice to the email address assigned to that account. This helps us protect personal and financial data and stay compliant with regulations.

If you want us to send the invoice to a different email address, you have a few options:

1. The client updates the email on their account

If your client wants to change the email address assigned to their Useme account, they need to let us know. We’ll update the email address at their request.

You can send them our contact form.

2. The client creates a new account

Your client can also create another account using a different email address.

It’s possible to have several Useme accounts with the same tax ID. For example, if several people in one company settle deals with freelancers through Useme, each person can have their own account and receive invoices at their own email address.

3. You download the invoice and send it yourself

You can always download the invoice from your dashboard and send it to the correct email address.

To find the invoice, go to your dashboard and open DealsDeposit request sent. Select the deal and open the Documents tab.

You’ll find there:

  • the deposit request – it shows after we verify the deal,
  • the final invoice – it shows after we get the client’s payment.
4. Send us a screenshot of the client’s message

If the client emails you clearly stating that invoices should be sent to a new email address, you can send us a screenshot of that message.

The screenshot must include:

  • the sender’s and recipient’s email addresses,
  • the news email address,
  • the message content clearly stating that invoices should be sent to the new email address.

Then, we can update the email address assigned to your client’s account.
