Freelancer uploaded the work, and you are wondering how to download, accept or reject the work? Here's how to do it correctly.
1. Make sure you have an active Useme account
In order to download, accept or reject your freelancer’s’ work you need an active Useme account. If you never created a Useme account by yourself, and only received pro forma and invoices from us, then you need to activate your account by following the instruction below:
- Go to the login page.
- Click on Recover password link.
- In the login field, enter the email address to which you receive our messages.
- Click the Confirm button.
- Go to your email and click the activation link which we’ve sent to you. With this link you’ll be able to login and set a new password.
Remember: When activating your account, make sure you enter the email to which you already receive messages from us. If you enter a different email address, you will create a new account, and you will not be able to access files sent to your previous address.
2. Download the work
How to download the work in a contract that requires approval?
Find the file by going to your Dashboard → Deals → Open deals → Chosen deal → Receive the work.
Click on the Receive the work button to download the file. The file name is an active link to download the work.
Remember to accept or reject the work after reviewing it. You have 7 calendar days to make your decision. The work will be automatically accepted if you haven't decided after that time.
How to download work in the auto-acceptance mode?
You can find the work by going to Dashboard → Deals → Closed deals → Chosen deal → Receive the work.
Click on the link of the file which will redirect you to the page containing the file uploaded by the freelancer. The file name is an active link to download the work.
The uploaded work was accepted automatically when you paid the pro forma. By downloading it you’re not able to change the status of the deal.
3. Accept or reject the work
Review the downloaded work and, using the appropriate checkbox and button, confirm your acceptance or reject the work and request corrections. Information about your decision will be forwarded to the freelancer.
Important: Only substantive, technical (not aesthetic) reasons related to your order description can become the basis for work rejection.
What happens when I reject the work?
If, after the freelancer’s revisions, the work still does not meet your requirements and you no longer want to continue the cooperation, we will return your funds, along with a correcting invoice.
Your link to accept the freelancer's work is not working?
The most common reason for a not working link is that you’re not logged in or do not have an active Useme account. Log in or activate your account.
To activate your account, go to the log in page and enter your email address. Then click on the Recover Password link. This will enable you to create a password and log in to our platform.
Now click again on the link to accept the freelancer’s work. After downloading and reviewing the work, mark the proper checkbox and click on the button to accept or reject the work.
What happens if the work is not delivered on time?
If a freelancer doesn’t deliver the work by the deadline, you have the right to resign from further cooperation. Report it to us via a contact form and we will send you a refund along with a correction invoice.
