I got an email that my client paid, but I didn’t get the money

In Useme Jobs, your client pays upfront. We hold the money and send it once you upload your work and the client accepts it. Read on for the full payout checklist.

If you’re working on a job from Useme Jobs, we’ll send your payout once your deal meets these conditions:

  • You uploaded your work files to the deal

Once the job is done, upload the files to the deal on time. Check how to do it.

  • You marked the files as “complete work”

When uploading files, you can choose “Send as complete work” or “Send as work samples.” Only completed work lets us continue with the payout.

  • The client accepted the work

The client has 7 days to review your files and decide whether to approve or reject them. If they reject the files, your payout won’t be processed yet – we’ll email you about it. In that case, contact your client to discuss necessary corrections.

  • You set up your payout method

If your payout method is missing, check your inbox. We’ll email you to ask you to add your account details.

Or you can go directly to Payouts in Settings and set up your payout method as soon as possible.

  • You uploaded an invoice or bill (only for freelancers with a company account)

If you run a business and your legal status in Useme is I represent or have a registered company, make sure you’ve uploaded your invoice or bill. We’ll email you our invoicing details with a direct link to upload the document.
