Invoicing clients on Useme means you give us all the necessary details and upload work files, and then we (not you) draft and email the invoice to your client. Read on to check what this document looks like.

In fact, we send two types of invoices to your client:
- Once you fill out the Invoice a client form, we email them a deposit invoice, also called a deposit request.
- Your client pays the amount stated in the deposit request using the secure payment link in our email.
- We send them the final invoice that can be used for accounting.
Below, we explain the difference between these two types of documents.
Deposit request (deposit invoice)
This type of invoice is not a financial or accounting document but serves as a formal payment request and an offer. It secures your interests by requesting payment upfront, before sending your work files to the client.
Since it's not a fiscal document, it doesn’t include your client’s tax identification number or an official issue date. All the accounting details will appear later on the final invoice.
You can find the deposit request in your account. Log in to Useme and choose Deals from the left-hand menu. Open the deal and go to the Documents tab below the deal title (service name). View or download the deposit request.
If you spot an error in the client/company name or address, service name, or price, use the contact form to message us – we’ll handle this!
Final invoice
Once we receive payment from your client, we’ll email them the actual invoice for your work. The final invoice will have their tax identification number and Useme’s tax identification number.
We issue reverse charge VAT invoices for:
- companies registered in the EU which have an EU VAT number,
- companies registered in the UK,
- companies registered in another country supported by Useme.

Invoicing without deposit request
If your client wants to be invoiced without the deposit request first, and you agree to that, we can arrange that for a fee. Learn more about skipping the deposit request.
